- What does "Ready" mean on a stack?
- Ready appears once the latest moisture reading you logged for that stack is under 20%, the threshold the EPA Burn Wise programme gives for seasoned firewood. Log a new reading any time from Stack Detail to update it.
- How is a face cord calculated?
- The cord calculator multiplies row length by stack height by log length, then compares the result to a full 128 cubic-foot cord. A stack of 16-inch logs stacked 4 feet high for 24 feet is one third of a full cord — a face cord — because the log length is a third of the usual 4-foot cord depth.
- Can I use Face Cord without an internet connection?
- Yes. Every screen — your woodpile, burn season log, species guide and rules checklist — works fully offline. Only the two official reference pages under Rules & Links need a connection, since they open the real Don't Move Firewood and EPA Burn Wise websites.
- How do I remove the example stacks?
- Open the Woodpile menu in the top corner and choose "Remove examples." This only removes the three sample stacks Face Cord ships with — any stacks you have added yourself are left alone.
